{UAH} Response to Wilson & Nyende: Public Interest Notice

The term of the Board of Trustees is not tied to individual members. The term of the board is for the whole board...not individual members of the board. It is just like any institution or entity with a stated term...if someone joins it when the term has started, that does not extend the service of the later entrant. e.g normal practice is that if a board member joins the board of directors several months after the the other board members, the term of all board members still expires at the same time. Another example is  where some members of congress join congress after the session has started, that does not extend the service of the late congressperson. 

If we adopted your interpretation, it would not only be wrong, it would also create confusion. What if some board members had resigned during the last month of Francis Senoga's administration (Aug 2013) and he replaced them. Would you argue that those people would serve until Aug 2016? How about Directors that have 2-year terms?  Would you want Consesa Nyakaisiki to have remained a Director until mid 2014?

the 3-year term of office for the first UNAA Board of Trustees expired on August 31st, 2014. After the recent resignation of Dr Muleera Muniini, Dr Opio Oloya, Dr Sara Matovu, Mr James Serumaga and Mr Alexander Zabasajja, there were two members left: Mr Moses Wilson and Ms Rosette Serwanga. Therefore, this notice affects just Moses and Rosette.

How to UNSUBSCRIBE.

1. Go to UNAA.ORG
2. Login. The Member Login feature is a red button on top of the menu to the left of the home page
3. After logging in Members will automatically be directed to the "My UNAA" page
4. Hover the mouse over the "My Features" Tab and select the "E-Lists" option at the bottom
5. Here a member will see all the E-Lists (UNAALIST is an E-List) they are on.
6. A member has two options
   1. Click edit on the right and turn off Email delivery. This stops the emails from automatically coming to your email and but you can still login into "My UNAA" and find discussion forum emails under the "My Profile" tab and clicking "Email History".
   2. Click "unsubscribe" which basically stops you from receiving discussion forum emails including any official communication emails sent to UNAALIST.
