{UAH} "THE THEN PROTEST FREEDOM":"TWAGALA LULE,OBA TUFA TUFE"

In the photo below, old as it is since it was taken in 1979 along the Sub Way shows strong supporters of Lule in a serious protest.Men and women demanding for freedom and justice but at the same time less worried about losing their lives while fighting for a noble cause.

All that one could here were brave revolutionary voices singing; "TWAGALA LULE,OBA TUFA TUFE" ( We want Lule, we don't mind losing our lives). You could ask yourselves; who was Lule and what had he done for those people or for this nation? Reason being, in this time and era, some political figures seem to be minding their own business and in so doing, those that voted them into political offices (not power) have been neglected. Who will then storm the streets to demand for their justice.

Now if a political figure is held or locked up a few people would come out to protest or demand for his or her release. Others would be advised not to get involved or even fight other people's battles. I have heard young men and women ready for a protest being warned; "Mugende naye bwemufa, mufiira bazadde bamwe" (Go but if you die, you die for your parents).

But also we shouldn't forget to ask ourselves; Are the political leaders we have now, worth dying for? What are their causes? Or they are just charismatic leaders blowing their own trumped, confusing and misleading people?

As I said earlier on, this image is old and not of a great quality but when you look at it, it speaks alot and has great Ugandan History on it. Take a critical look at that van. Can that happen in this era of "unnecessary tear gas, colored & pressured water, batoons, un called for Mamba appearances, stray bullets, Kiboko squard, and arrests without warranty?

4.An 1803 Ottoman map of the Iberian and Italian Peninsulas and the North African coast. In that time Geographes used to draw the maps from their ships by running along the coasts ( inter alia )That being said, this kind of work is simply phenomenal because of how accurate the limits are.By very diligent measurement of location. The major technical advance was the Chronometer which allowed the measurement of time and compensation for the earths motion. Prior to the Chronometer, maps were distorted East to West and so, the innovation is demonstrated where Longitude was correct. In that aspect there were also European maps as well but this one is very detailed.
