{UAH} 9th October?

9th October.......on this day in 1962, Uganda came into being as one new nation with women and men committed to building it for the many -in diversity- not the few. That was 52 years ago.

Instead, for the last 29 years a band who stormed into Kampala using child soldiers with nothing but a language of hate (of them versus us), continue to occupy the peoples Republic, with a narrative that unless one belongs to the 'right' category or is connected by an appropriate 'extension' hope is absent.

The occupants of State, some of whose grandparents Ugandans do not know, travel in long convoys that include a moving latrine while most public schools and health facilities operate without an 'un-full' pit latrine, that is if they are lucky to have a piece of chalk or an aspirin at all.

It is not a sickness to say this is unacceptable and to either pretend or justify the mess by any coatings necessary is a total betrayal of those who came before us. Ugandans...believe in better.
