{UAH} Head of US Secret Service resigns
Folks;
Ms. Pierson had to go. There are simply too many close-calls to let her explain her way back into this sensitive job.
Other changes have to take place: the White House must be given authority to hire and discipline Agents assigned to it. That role, unfortunately, still remains with the Treasury Department, which is the parent government department under which the Secret Service falls.

Washington (CNN) -- Julia Pierson, the director of the U.S. Secret Service, has resigned her post, Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said Wednesday.
"As an interim Acting Director of the Secret Service, I am appointing Joseph Clancy, formerly Special Agent in Charge of the Presidential Protective Division of the Secret Service," Johnson said.
The resignation comes after several security breaches involving the White House and the President.
