The Public Sector must get involved

One thing on all Ugandans lips is that Uganda, observing what is going on in Kampala, is rapidly developing. Sometime back, I wrote an article and said, "Negative development is also development". I also wrote another and said the government better come out before it's too late for most wealth created in Kampala is worthless! 

NEMA and the Min. of Environment have just annulled over 14000 land titles in wetlands which were allocated illegally. As per 1900 agreement all wetlands is land owned by the state. NEMA law prohibits wetland destruction.

In the past 6-7 years erratic climate and prolonged dry season has squarely been attributed to wetland encroachment and environmental destruction.

My own study shows, in Kampala alone there are thousands of buildings in road reserves, on sewer lines, under High Voltage power lines, on lake shores in clear contravention of  society rules and regulation by which society must live and exist.

It is chaotic!

Take for example HVPL – it is true that prolonged exposure to electromagnetic fields causes cancers. Indeed cancers, are on the raise in Uganda, even if this might be for other reasons, it is a condition which never existed before the 80's - 90's going by medical records! We have destroyed forests and now medical personnel as well as biologist are locating issues of very contagious diseases like Marburg and Ebola to disruptions for forest ecology by man including eating forest animals. 

This must be of major financial implications to our rotting and leaping medicare establishment.

It is quite clear that there are many laws that have been violated by individuals knowingly or unknowingly. Surprisingly violation of Uganda laws, is basically the works squarely promoted among state officials and the well to do. My more than 20 years living among Europeans never informed that they were prejudiced against their own laws and its ruthless implementation – and indeed this has been their success! 

Reading from How Makelele became Makerere by Fred Guweddeko in the Observer; He writes Africans were paying tax by force, accepting venereal disease treatment by force, growing cotton by force, dressing by force, and force was applied to make them sleep in separate huts from chicken and goats. Basic hygiene like bathing, avoiding lice, removing jiggers, digging and using pit latrines were all observed by force

It is therefore for the reasons above without being biased: that an unguided freewill is detrimental to human progress and wealthy creation. I am so surprised that NRM catch word is still FREE ENTRPRISE of an unguided individual freewill. Traditional as well as modern societies are all governed by social conventions.  Today Uganda as a nation state is governed by all tribes of laws and conventions unlucky some not implemented at all since for us, a carefree individual is supreme. 

28 years down the road – there is nothing but total destruction of Uganda society via carefree individuals destroying even the personal lives and that of society.  We steal street lights, connive to sabotage state institutions, there is no single International Hotel, Bank, Insurance Corporation in Uganda run solely by Ugandans!

And if you want business success in Uganda avoid employing Ugandans! 

I have read a lot of innocent observation by Timothy Kalyegira's article in the monitor. Kalyegira is mildly radical and once declare he will never live in Europe or America.  I therefore do not think he is anti- African or Euro-centric indoctrinated.

Reading How Makelele became Makerere by Fred Guweddeko in the Observer, he writes "When Sir Apollo Kagwa mounted pressure on Governor Sir Coryndon (1919-1922) to provide college education for Ugandan natives, there was a sincere and well founded belief that Africans by nature were indolent, emotional, lazy, idiotic, untrustworthy, suscipicious, dirty, liars, irresponsible, superstitions and demonic." 

Let us implement the Physical Planning law religiously and all of us will be the beneficially - less of that we have no wealthy creation at all.
