{UAH} Ugandan Youths in diaspora Supports Mbabazi's Candidature for presidency come 2016

Ugandan Youths in diaspora Supports Mbabazi's Candidature for presidency come 2016 and condemns the sacking of mbabazi and the reminds museveni that mbabazi has constitutional right to contest for president.

The youths in Diaspora under the Umbrella 'LCUYD' condemns the NRM Parliamentary caucus for violating the NRM constitution on the resolution of endorsing President Yoweri Museveni to rule for 35years. The situation is unfortunate, we in the diaspora supports the NRM but what the MPs did in feb while  kyankwanzi was actually an act of undermining democracy and can largely be described as Sycophantic and an abuse of democratic processes. The move to endorse President Museveni at this time not only conflict with the ethos of good governance but also a premature attempt to divert attention on the core needs of Ugandans – improved healthcare, quality, free education,
enhanced welfare package for workers, infrastructural development, among others. It is without any doubt that the MPs embarked on non-publicist agenda against the desires of majority Ugandans.

To the president, we describe him as a power monger; a ruler who is totally disconnected from the realities of the Ugandan society. How can you be in power for 28years with full control of state resources and yet still fear competition? That only best describes a 'selfish' antecedent of a leader and consequently a bad example for our generation and those yet unborn.

We in LCUYD intend to mobilize our Youth counterparts in Uganda to challenge this questionable resolution of endorsing President Museveni by massive support country wide come 2015 delegates conference and 2016 general elections which will usher Amaama in state house the youth will vividly press further on action should the MP caucus group continue to advocate for the sole candidature of the incumbent without a fair playing ground for other aspirants

The MPs used a wrong forum because the caucus lacks the mandate to endorse any candidate, under the NRM constitution; it is only the delegate conference that has such prerogative. LCUYD fully supports the candidature of Prime Minister Amaama Mbabazi for the 2016 general elections. We have followed with keen interest the rise to leadership of this honorable gentleman and father and we believe in his capability to offer a new paradigm of leadership to Uganda.

We therefore assure him of our unalloyed support during the NRM delegate conference in 2015. At this point, we also like to condemn in strong terms the draconian tendencies often displayed by Mr. Museveini which in turn embarrasses us as Ugandans. How do you explain the attack x pm over the security personnel? The scenario at X PM's home where security were seemingly intimating is unacceptable and disgraceful to the entire country. We cannot fold our arms and allow Uganda become a laughing stock in the international community.

The LCUYD will refuse such intimidation , suppressed or silenced until a just and ideal society we dreamed is achieved in Uganda; a society where true democratic norms are cherished, where the old and young can be proud of their country.

On the issue of trumpet charges against the Youth on corruption and terrorism charges we condemn it and consider it as dictatorship at work in disguised democracy.

We conclude with unfortunate remarks on MPs using tax payers' money to and market sole candidature of president Musiveni who have been in Power for 28years, 28years should show the public what he has done. What he has done should market him not to corrupt the public. We would think the police would come in at that vast corruption.

We shall continual to keep close tabs on political development in Uganda and voice our concerns
as they unfold.
God bless LCUYD
God bless Uganda!
