FG Sends 49 Nigerians To Uganda Universities
The Federal Government has sent 49 Nigerians on volunteer services, to lecture at the Kampala University in Uganda under the Technical Aid Corps.
Speaking with journalists after the departure of the last batch to Uganda, the Director-General of the corps, Dr Pius Osunyikanmi, said that the Federal Government has made adequate provision to cater for the welfare of the volunteers.
48 Nigerian professionals had gone for the same mission three months earlier.
The scheme was established with the sole purpose of assisting states in Africa and the Caribbean in their social-economic development effort through the participation of Nigerian experts in various fields of human endeavour.
The team to Uganda will be teaching in universities in the country.
