{UAH} Planning Kampala is Not Enough

Currently there is about fourteen municipalities in Uganda.
One Capital City - Kampala
and a good number of town councils and town boards.
Besides Kampala there is no where in Uganda, where there is  any form of spatial or physical planning taking place. The basis of Town Board creation was entirely silly. Because Kyengera is over built does not make it township! The government would as well break the entire disorganised settlement down!

There aught to be some form of basis why towns become towns,  municipalities and then city councils. I can't envisage how in the near future Uganda will sustainably fund these towns unless taxes will be 70%!

Anyhow, if we consider the fact that urban settlement mean excavation and raping nature, that is to say we bring in the element of environmental conservation and ecological preservation - commonsense will suggest we limit the number of towns - just imagine Kawempe, Kawanda, Matugga, Bombo, Wobulenzi, Kasana, Luwero, Kakoge a distance of less 60 km all becoming town councils and having six mayors, town clerks etc -  Kampala, Nakawa, Banda Byeyogere, Mukono

Shouldn't we start asking questions if it is alright to have Nyendo when Masaka has its boundaries?

Should Njeru become a municipality besides Jinja?

But even then what is the role of Town Clerks and Chief Accounting Officers -  Repeal the Local Government Act 2007 let us pour all the monies from LG into MLHUD.
