{UAH} Well time will tell!!!
Police nearly arrested former Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi in Mbarara district on Sunday night, Chimp Corps report.
It all started with Mbabazi, who was flanked by his iron-lady Jacqueline Mbabazi, making a surprise appearance at the Kakyeka stadium for what was labelled "Western Media Awards."
Mbabazi's presence at the social event surprised many people including singer Bebe Cool who was performing at the show.
It is thought even security officials in the area were caught flat-footed as Mbabazi and his wife quickly took a seat at 12:35am (Monday morning) before being introduced and welcomed by the event's organisers.
A few minutes later, security officials started panicking before calling the District Police Commander, Dickens Bindeeba to intervene.
Mbabazi seems to have gotten wind of the plot or suspected that security would block him from speaking at the function.
He then took to the podium to address the excited crowds.
It was at that time that Bindeeba jumped onto the stage where he found Mbabazi holding a microphone.
Mbabazi, who was recently sent on forced leave as the Secretary General of NRM due to his alleged presidential ambitions and forming cliques in the ruling party, fired at the DPC in Runyankole: "Noyendaki (what do you want?)"
Bindeeba responded that due to his political status and standing orders handed to high profile NRM leaders, Mbabazi should not have visited Mbarara town without informing the DPC or any other concerned authority such as RDC.
Being a brilliant lawyer, Mbabazi was not short of responses. "I am just returning from South Western Uganda. It is true I am the NRM Secretary General and MP Kinkiizi West but also the proprietor Kinkiizi Fm. I am here as a representative of my radio."

"Omukwateho tukunaahe," a reveller warned Bindeeba in Runyankole, loosely translated as "arresting Mbabazi will attract severe consequences including castrating you."
In that fracas, Mbabazi was later allowed to speak but on condition that he avoids making sensitive political remarks.
Mbabazi went philosophical: "The people should have and exercise their inalienable right to select a leader of their choice. The people should be free to make a decision of their own."
The comments were interpreted as meaning Ugandans should not be intimidated by any political forces during election seasons.
Mbabazi says he will not stand for election in 2016, a statement Museveni's aides take with a pinch of salt.
He further praised journalists at the event, saying they should expose how police tried to mistreat him and that "the whole world will soon see all this that happened here."
Mbabazi further asserted that "it's the right and responsibility of the people to choose a government of their choice."
The area RDC Moses Mwebesa arrived at the venue moments after Mbabazi had finished addressing the gathering.
