State's expenses on ex-presidents
The government used Sh108 million to cater for the lives of two former heads of state; Daniel Toroitich arap Moi and Mwai Kibaki in the first four months of the 2013/2014 financial year. This is according to documents retrieved from the office of the President.
The money was spent as follows;

In total, retired President Moi has been allocated Sh66.85 million for the financial year ending June this year while Kibaki is set to receive Sh82.86 million.
In the next financial year, Moi will walk away with Sh 15.21 million as his personal allowances while his successor former President Kibaki take home Sh11.02 million.
Prior to his retirement, Kibaki signed into law an act that entitled him Sh. 25 million as his retirement package plus other benefits.
The presidential retirement package act awarded former heads of state monthly pensions, house and entertainment allowances.
