{UAH} US picks interest in railway probe
Folks;
A day after former US trade official, Rosa Whitaker was "interviewed" by a parliamentary leader over the railway saga, US an official from its Kampala embassy to "monitor" the investigations!
I can make out two reasons here:
1. US wants to know how China bribed its way into this lucrative venture - how much, who is involved, etc.
2. US wants to know Ms. Whitaker's role, especially if she was implicated in a bribery. It's illegal in the US to bribe a government official, anywhere on earth, in order to win a business deal.
Now, I'm also following this scandal!
