First, I didn't know that Prof. Bukenya suffers from this level of deficiency in the English language. Just read through the quotes being attributed to him here, and you will appreciate the weakness he encounters with the English language.
Nevertheless, he is raising a widely-held, but rarely-discussed root pain in Buganda politics: how the Baganda consigned a chiefly Ganda-party, DP, to its political grave.
Prof. Bukenya traces the root cause to an incident in 1961 when DP Founding president, Ben Kiwanuka, reportedly summoned Kabaka Mutesa to his house in Entebbe where Kiwanuka was Chief Minister.
Though the story turned out to be incorrect, the damage to the party had been done: Kiwanuka had shown disrespect to the Kabaka by summoning him, rather travel to where the Kabaka was, for that meeting!
