{UAH} MR. WBK & CO, WHILE ON EDUCATION.....
Mr WBK, I notice your keen interest in education policy(ies).
While at it, COULD SOME ONE IN THE KNOW FIND OUT FOR US WHY AND HOW
UGANDAN TOOK AWAY JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL EDUCATION?
WHOSE INITIATIVE WAS IT AND WHAT WAS THE ARGUMENT?
WERE THERE SOME RESEARCH RECOMMENDATIONS TO ADJUST TO ANY PARTICULAR
UGANDAN OR AFRICAN NEED?
I belong to the generation that never had the chance to go through junior secondary school. NOT EVEN P8!! By our time p.8 had already been scrapt so I was barely 13 in S.1.
Considering how Africans mature and how the labour market ser ut I find it ver obnoxious that our school system is not responsive to Ugandas reality.
In sweden we have up to P9. Ugandas should really be up to p10!!!
Moreover, even in today's Uganda, most of the reputed Ugandan you ever hear
about are still fellows who went through the old school of primary, junior secondary, secondary & university?
So, which particular reality demanded / dictated the school reform that removed JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL?
Noc'la gaumoy
"WE FORM THE CULTURE THAT FORMS US"….noc'la gaumoy.
