{UAH} WHAT SHOULD BE THE STRATEGY TO GET A SINGLE CANDIDATE REPRESENTING A NUMBER OF POLITICAL GROUPS IN UGANDA’S 2016 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS?
Mw. Kiwanuka Bill and UAH folks,
FIRST, Mw Kiwanuka, I request to take you from the word go when you stated, I quote herewith thus; "I am one of those who seriously believe that I have the potential to contest for the Presidency come 2016. And, because I wanted the public to take me serious….", End the part in UAH 12th - 02 - 2015.
WELL, I think, the political innovations by Ugandans are equivalent with the ones of the NRA/M7 banditry regime in Uganda had been the self - inflicted political problems due to the fact of our past political and, or economical colonial historical make-up. Frankly, we may request to differ, but I think and hope I may be wrong, but at the same time, I still think it will make your wish and many others to enter the political fray quite hard for the whole of our generations to make some meaningful political change for our dear country.
Let us just, take a look at the historical doctrine of the NRA/M7 banditry at the Luwero triangle and its 'no-party democracy' populism under what had been imprinted on the infamous '10 point program' was conceived and got the ground to launch genocide in the area which became the very journey, that led us to the current decay of our dear country? Today, or for the continuous 30 years of the NRA/M7 banditry regime, there exists an amorphous parliamentarian that includes the so-called 'Independents' those are making no good policies for the betterment of our nation.
Lately, I read an article in The Daily Monitor 10/ January - 2015 - By Beti Olive Kamya titled; 'Museveni, Besigye and Muntu have all misused their powers'. Frankly, speaking, I would have loved Ms Kamya to have stated and, or entitled that; 'They the whole of them folks who supported the NRA/M7 banditry guerrillas war in the Luwero triangle after their political failures during the 1980 general elections have misused their powers' and as such they all duped Ugandans. Brutally, we must accept that, Mky Kamya had come out of that political cocoon of the NRA/M7 banditry and populism, which took them to the Luwero jungle to commit genocide against fellow Ugandans without success of bringing political plural democracy in Uganda with respects of human rights. But unfortunately, as usual, Uganda politics had lost its value way back in the mid-1950s when some Ugandan nationalists started the journey of building the current day politics of Uganda throughout the early 1960s.
Again, unfortunate, I think it had been due to the political foundation built on the sand dunes under the colonial doctrine of the 1900 Buganda Agreement. Let us agree to disagree, but I think under the unfortunate colonialism 1900 Buganda Agreement had torpedoed the political stands of the Ugandan nationalists whereby their political understandings were done mostly to feather nests selfish interests, than for the advancement and, or the betterment of our nation.
The question, which I think must be in our thought, is; what will bring true political and economic change in our dear nation since it seems we are just consumed by this political doctrine of 'US AND THEM'? This political, prologue I think will never bring any political understanding for the betterment of our nation. Just, take the example of how under the infamous freedom of expression in this UAH forum, the Administrators are accepting the anti-people thesis, which is not different from the Nazis German campaign against the Jews in the late 1920s running through the mid-1930s. The thesis, I am talking about is the anti - Acoli and Langi, which continues to features in this UAH forum. The question, is will the folks north of Karuma bridge and, or east of lake Kiyoga bridge be of no political significance to the political landscape of Uganda after the NRA/M7ism banditry regime? This means, I think the political landscape of Uganda and, or any persons vying to lead Uganda like yourself Mw KIWANUKA Bill should stand up to be counted in denouncing this thesis, but not those silent voices those continued to conceal genocide in the making against fellow Ugandans.
LASTLY, I think, Ugandans need a better and a peaceful Uganda. We need politicians who will inculcate the sense of hope without fear and peaceful coexistence in our country. This is my take on your appeal!
