{UAH} LOOKING FOR MY MATES

Allan Barigye, Ingram Kampe, Gwokto,

I am looking for my former classmates who I have not seen since the
NRA bandits captured power in 1986. I wonder if any of you know what
fate befell them and/or if they are still alive and kicking.

1. Mr Charles Beisa. A Mukiga man, he graduated from Dar es Salaam
University and then joined us at the Law Development Centre. Very
jovial and friendly chap, he got a job as Company Secretary at
TransOcean and the last time I met him was in 1986 when I visited him
in his offices in the Industrial aAre. He had just got married.
2. Mr Abbey Bigabwa. A Munyankole man from Bushenyi and a brother to
Mr Amanya Mushega. He came with me from Kings College Budo, to join
the Law School at Makerere Uiversity. He is one of those students like
Mugisha Muntu who disappeared immediately after sitting their exams,
Muntu to become a bandit, but I am not sure about Bigabwa. What I know
is he turned up in Canada where he lived for a number of years. I last
met him in Nairobi airport in 1986. He was travelling from Canada to
Uganda, I was travelling to Bombay, India, so we spent about two hours
waiting for our connecting flights. I have since neither seen, nor
heard from him, but from the conversation I had with him, I think he
was going to join the NRA government as his brother Amanya had just
been appointed a Minister of Defence.

If you or anyone else has any information about their whereabouts,
please let me know. Just tell them the Chairman is looking for them.

George Okello
