{UAH} INTOLERANCE

Brothers and sisters, it is my prayers, that honorable  members of Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Committee minimize their personal and group interests and allow people to articulate their views while making submissions on Constitutional Amendments, during a public hearing that is going on this month.
Today we were so disappointed with some honorable members who could not restrain themselves and allow Hon. Beti Kamya to articulate her views on a federal form of government and on what she calls "imperial presidency" (l disagree with her on that one, imperial presidency ended in 1995 but what we are suffering from now is a weak parliament).
Worse still some honorable members almost tore Beti Kamya apart if it was not the intervention of the chairperson Hon. Stephen Tashobya when she talked about their privilege of determining their emoluments. That was intolerance of the highest order.
Then we have the technical staff that don't want to share with the press written memoranda! There are many gods.
