SV: {UAH} Akena was sent by NRM to destroy UPC - Bossa - What the f...k!
EVEN A BLIND CAN SE FROM A MILE AND UNDERSTAND IT WAS WRONG TO ELECT / NOMINATE AKENA.
And, this is not personal. I like Jimmy but, he has not cooprated in any way with the UPC leadership. H e has only been conflict and intrigue bent. If I were a UPC, I would have preferred
up and coming youths like Aroma who have been involved all along.

Akena was sent by NRM to destroy UPC - Bossa - National
Uganda Peoples Congress (UPC) vice president Joseph Bossa has labelled Mr Jimmy Akena a ruling party mole who will not be allowed to take over the leadership of the party.
On June 1, the UPC electoral commission announced that Mr Akena had secured majority votes to become the sole candidate for the party presidential race due next month.
However, Mr Bossa told journalists at Speke Hotel in Kampala on Wednesday that Mr Akena invented his victory, adding that he was mulling taking legal action.

"The Akena group is acting in total ignorance and pressure from their NRM sponsors who misrepresented the declaration and considered the exercise to be an actual election of the party president," he said. Mr Bossa quoted Article 13.2 (5) of the party constitution, where a candidate's nomination is only valid or duly supported by the requisite number of district conferences. "UPC doesn't have a president elect position as it was announced on June 1 because the electoral commission at the time was not fully constituted neither was it mandated to declare the piecemeal results," he said.
"The chairman and vice chairman of electoral commission were both not present at the time of the seizure or coup by the Akena group."
While Mr Akena could not be reached for a comment as his known phone number was switched off, last week he said "it is an insult to call my victory and mandate by party district leaders an NRM agenda."

Meanwhile, at a press conference at Uganda House, Mr David Balibayine, the UPC head of human rights in the outgoing government, said they plan to dialogue with warring factions so as to move the party forward.
