Photo Sani MaikatangaSpeaking to our correspondent, one of the boys, Haruna Usman said he was interested in the lady because of the offer."You know it is not un-Islamic to marry a lady because of her wealth or knowledge, so I'm here because of the offer. I have been longing to marry for long but my financial status has been weighing me down. Nobody will get this opportunity that will not grab it," he said. For his part, Mohammed Mustapha (25) said he decided to offer himself to her because of the way she was treated by her ex-boyfriend."I'm not a poor man because my business capital is over N1million but I came to marry because she was jilted by her lover. If she agrees to marry me, I promise you she will not regret it," he said.In an interview with our correspondent, the girl who hailed from Osun state said she decided to offer the items because she was betrayed by her longtime boyfriend."I'm a trader at the singer market and I invested about N5million on my lover but he jilted me after all I have done for him. It is against this that I went to the radio station to offer these items to anybody who is willing to marry me. I'm single and I have never married before," she said.___________________________________Gwokto La'Kitgum"Even a small dog can piss on a tall Building", Jim HightowerLe Montréal d'amour d'IOn Thu, Jun 18, 2015 at 2:10 PM, 'Afuwa Kasule' via Ugandans at Heart (UAH) Community <ugandans-at-heart@googlegroups.com> wrote:Hundreds of suitors surrounded a northern Nigerian radio station after a local girl offered a car and a house to the man who would take her hand in marriage. 22- year old Zainab Abdulmalik said that a bad experience with a previous lover had driven her to find a husband in this unusual way. She was a successful market trader and said that despite lavishing around $2500 on her previous boyfriend, he jilted her. On Tuesday she went into Freedom Radio in Kano and in an interview asked prospective husbands - between the ages of 17 and 25 - to come to the station the next day. The man she chose - she promised - would get a car and a house. On Wednesday hundreds of young men, dressed in their smartest clothes, flocked there hoping to be the one. The radio presenter who interviewed her, Nasiru Zango, described scenes of chaos when the suitors arrived.
