Fr. Gaetano Tells Tumwebaze To Grow Up Politically

Jun 23, 2015

Out spoken Catholic Church priest Rev. Fr. Gaetano Batanyenda has said that Minister for Presidency Hon. Frank Tumwebaze is like a barking dog protecting its master and he should grow up politically.

REV.FR-Gaetano-BatanyendaREV.FR-Gaetano-Batanyenda

"Hon. Minister, I am not always surprised by your words, actions and behaviors since you have proved to be "LIKE" a barking Dog protecting its master," Fr Gaetano posted on his Facebook page

He is accusing Tumwebaze of attacking former Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi with aguish, dolour, and selfishness. Mbabazi declared his desire to contest for presidency in 2016 elections last week

Fr. Gaetano counseled Tumwebaze to grow politically by telling him that President has for many years labeled former premier as loyal cadre.

"I advise you Hon. Minister to grow politically, you always forget that President Museveni has for many years labeled Amaama Mbabazi as loyal, and trust worthy. From the fountain of honor I believe wholly that HOLDING OTHER FACTORS CONSTANT, H.E President Museveni would even at the moment choose to work more with Hon. Amaama Mbabazi than you despite being "LIKE" his barking dog"

He further added; "I have seen you as someone who is intrigue, arrogant, divisive, abusive, jealousy and selfish."

Mbabazi has been fundamental

Fr. Gaetano reminded Mr. Tumwebaze that Mbabazi has been fundamental and hence deserves respect rather than wildly attacking him like an animal

"You need to learn that Amaama Mbabazi has been fundamental and, is a big key to NRM, all the way from and before 1986 when you were less than 12 years old. It is not debatable he has equally or together not only contributed to the success of NRM but also to the whole nation, and today any wise Ugandan would respect his wish to contest for Presidency," he said.

Responding to Mbabazi's public declaration that he will contest for presidency in the coming elections, Mr. Tumwebaze said that he not new from heaven and NRM will assess his record.

Fr. Gaetano's full statement

On 18th June 2015,I wrote to Hon. Frank Tumwebaze, Minister for Presidency in these or similar words;

Hon. Minister, I am not always surprised by your words, actions and behaviors since you have proved to be "LIKE" a barking Dog protecting its master.

Since .Hon Amaama Mbabazi declared his intention to contest for presidency, you have on all occasions attacked him with aguish, dolour, and selfishness.

If I may ask, what wrongs are you attacking Hon. Amaama Mbabazi for?

Where has he gone offside?

Which rule of law has he broken?

What agreement has Hon. Amaama Mbabazi broken with NRM?

First of all, read here below what the law says.

Here is the article;

Section 3 of the Presidential Elections Act [16 of 2005] states:

1) An aspirant may consult in preparation for his or her nomination as a presidential candidate within twelve months before the nomination date.

(2) While consulting under subsection (1), a presidential aspirant may—

(a) carry out nation-wide consultations;

(b) prepare his or her manifesto and other campaign materials;

(c) raise funds for his or her campaign through lawful means;

(d) convene meetings of national delegates.

(3) While consulting, the aspirant shall introduce himself or herself to the Commission and notify the relevant local council and the police of the area to which he or she goes.

I advise you Hon.

Amaama Mbabazi than you despite being "LIKE" his barking dog.

I have seen you as someone who is intrigue, arrogant, divisive, abusive, jealousy and selfish.

Take a flash back and look at how you went on much pressure, heart attack, with impunity to impeach the Kampala Lord Mayor Elias Lukwago.

Yes your master credited you for the work you did but remember you downhearted, disappointed, and devalued thousands of people of Kampala that had trusted & empowered Hon. Elias Lukwago with their vote.

Am sure, majority of the citizens of Kampala still suffer the wounds of Hon. Elias Lukwago's impeachment but they have no voice to echo their pain. I feel so much sympathetic.

Look!, Hon. Amaama Mbabazi may not have your support but he deserves your respect rather than wildly attacking him like an animal.

You need to learn that Amaama Mbabazi has been fundamental and, is a big key to NRM, all the way from and before 1986 when you were less than 12 years old.

It is not debatable he has equally or together not only contributed to the success of NRM but also to the whole nation, and today any wise Ugandan would respect his wish to contest for Presidency.

It doesn't matter whether he competes and loses or wins; Let us live a democratic life.

Holding other factors constant, I thank President H.E Museveni, as he is respectful to Hon. Amaama Mbabazi. That is not only being politically brilliant but also individually brilliant.

We have seen many NRM cadres who are politically peaceful, hardworking, successful, competitive and not selfish, among those include Rt. Hon Ruhakana Rugunda.

I advise you to be politically peaceful, even in a football, hockey, netball, basketball games, you attack the opponent with peace and you give freedom to the opponent when he is competing rather than attacking him like a terrorist.

Lastly " A wise leader would look at this message as an advice but a fool would look at this as the genesis/beginning of enmity with the author"

May God bless your political career.
