{UAH} Twegaite Thank you letter.

Dear Twegaite Members & Friends,

On behalf of Twegaite international and Twegaite MN convention organizing committee, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the delegates that were able to make it to Minneapolis for the 2015 Twegaite Convention.  By numerous counts, this was a very successful event, where a lot of our goals were achieved.

The theme of this years convention was Creating Connections and Building Bridges.  This goal was met by those in attendance through the great discussions and interactions among the delegates with our political leadership in Uganda.

Even before we can fully reconcile our books, we can guarantee that we have funds that will go towards the intended causes covered at the convention (The Cancer Center initiative, the Kyabazinga initiative, support of our Hospice partner).

We also had the International Trachoma Initiative guarantee medicine enough to eliminate Trachoma in Uganda by the year 2020. Miss Uganda, Leah Kalanguka was appointed as the Trachoma initiative ambassador.  She will work hand in hand with the Trachoma initiative task force in Atlanta Georgia.

After successful meetings with the political leadership, Dr. Paul Clyde stepped up his efforts of setting up a modern hospital facility in Jinja Uganda. He will soon be traveling to Uganda to kick-start the project.

We launched the first ever Twegaite Run, and plan to stage another one 2016 in Uganda.

We had a successful launch, and fundraising for the Eitala Kyabazinga initiative (details to follow).

We had sold out on the Lusoga Bibles that were sent by Fr.Gonza.

We had a lot of first time attendees, who have vowed never to miss another Twegaite convention ever again.

We would like to thank the President's representative, Prime Minister Hon.Ruhakana Rugunda, The Speaker of the House Hon. Rebecca Kadaga, The leader of opposition Hon. Wafula Ogutu, Her Excellency, Uganda Ambassador to the United States, Olivia Wonekha, all the Honorable members of Parliament, District, Municipal, and Business leaders in attendance.

We thank our Sponsors, World Remit, Cultural Group Benefits, and the various vendors who were in attendance for your support.

The new Twegaite leadership is committed to transparency, and will do our level best to advance the interests of Busoga as the founders had envisioned it. In a few days, we will release a full financial report of the convention, official pictures, and any other reports that pertain to the recently concluded Twegaite Minnesota convention.

We cannot solve all of Busoga's problems, but we will do our part in making the lives of those less fortunate than us, a little better before we pass
on the baton to the next team of leaders to continue the work.

We also vow to keep lines of communication open to respectful discussions and ideas from all of you who make us the organization that we are today.

Thanks again for your support.

Tony Isubikalu,
President Twegaite International.
