SV: {UAH} 2016 elections: Mbabazi 'gives up' on NRM

UHA-ers,
I have just enjoyed my "Odii-Nyim" (sesam paste) and "Kich" (honey)
sandwich which I shall wash down with a little some...that makes brother Akim swallow saliva.
In that mode,I just can't decipher the tracks of logic as those in
Hon Mbabazi's pronouncement.Mature and long over due though it might be.

Mw Ssekajja p'se help out:

Hon Mbabazi says: "......Mbabazi said that although he remains an ardent member of the NRM and is not about to quit, the actions that followed his declaration were an indicator of how far the NRM can go to stop his presidential bid................."

AND, ".....I have decided that I will not stand within NRM and when the time comes I will be nominated as Presidential candidate," he added.
.............."

I don't know what "nominated" means here more specifically with regards to  so called "INDEPENDENT CANDIDATES".

And yet more,he actually rules out unity with the opposition to front a sole candidate, doesn't he?

I recall some senior opposition candidates said the would only work with Mbabazi after he has resigned from the NRM?!

So, what is Hon Mbabazi actually saying?!?!!??!
Allan, is there some secret alliens don't understand?
Noc'la gaumoy

"WE FORM THE CULTURE THAT FORMS US"….noc'la gaumoy.

2016 elections: Mbabazi 'gives up' on NRM

Amama Mbabazi
Former Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi says he will contest for the 2016 presidency but not on the ruling party's National Resistance Movement (NRM) ticket.
It was expected by most, that Mbabazi, the former secretary general of NRM, who recently declared his presidential ambitions was going to challenge party chairman, also President of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni for the party's flag-bearer in the forthcoming elections.

But at a press conference today, Mbabazi said that although he remains an ardent member of the NRM and is not about to quit, the actions that followed his declaration were an indicator of how far the NRM can go to stop his presidential bid.
Mbabazi and his daughter Rachel were arrested in Njeru early this month enroute to Mbale where he was to launch his consultative meetings on his bid. He claims several of his supporters have been arrested by police and other security operatives ever since his political intentions became clear.

He adds that the current NRM electoral laws and regulations are unconstitutional and unlawful. "At the end of this journey, I will be the president of Uganda," he said.

"I have decided that I will not stand within NRM and when the time comes I will be nominated as Presidential candidate," he added.

Asked about a possibility of joining The Democratic Alliance, a coalition of opposition political parties, Mbabazi said; "We cannot go forward without unity but we shall push for the unity of all Ugandans."

He adds that he is pushing for peaceful transition of power, not an armed struggle. Youth MP for northern Uganda and State State Minister for Youth and Children, who led the Kyankwanzi push for the 2016 Museveni sole candidacy said "Today Mbabazi has officially endorsed President Museveni's sole candidature. He signed the resolution as number 202", she said.
