{UAH} Bishop assures Museveni of support
BUSHENYI- West Ankole Diocese Bishop Yona Mwesigwa Katoneene has pledged support for President Museveni's candidature in the 2016 election.
During the commissioning of Katungu Mothers Union Centre in Bushenyi Municipality on Tuesday, Bishop Katoneene gave President Museveni, who was the chief guest, a stool, spear and shield, all viewed as symbols of leadership, and asked him to stay in power and "defend the country from enemies".
"Get these items meaning that we are behind you and use them to defend yourself against those who are coming to disturb you. Sit on this stool and protect us from those enemies who are threatening your governance our dear President," said Bishop Katoneene.
Question:
What in your opinion should have been an appropriate symbol for peace that religious leaders could hand to a political aspirant, a Bible/Quaran, or shield &spear,? Your thoughts, please.
