{UAH} SOMETHING FOR HON.SAM KUTESA TO READ ABOUT EBB AIRPORT

On 17 February 1929, The Royal Air Force's Fairey III Aircraft, became the first aircraft to land on the grass runway at the Airfield in Entebbe, Busiro. 86 years ago, Entebbe Airport, had a grass runway.

2.1935 Taxiing on the gravel runway at the old Entebbe Aiport (EBB), located at Zzilya village in Busiro County. In 1935, the EBB grass runway surfaces set in 1928, which did not qualify to be classified as "a gravel runway," were replaced by a murram/gravel taxiway shown on this old photo. This old 1935 "unpaved" runway was typically constructed of a mixture of compacted soils and stones, and with a surface that is not bound by any additives (neither asphaltic nor cementitious).

There is a well-documented history to show that decision to locate this public-use airport facility at Entebbe, Busiro, as well as decision to develop the design, and construction standards for this EBB airfield, was taken by the people of Buganda Kingdom and British government (then Uganda Government), about 43 years way before a new independent country, called Uganda, was formed on 09 October 1962, by merging 15 different federal territories or ethnic regions, which were comprised in the Uganda protectorate.

The planning and development development of the public-use airport facilities at Entebbe, Busiro Country, entailed the pooling together of various factors of production, including land, capital ,labour and entrepreneurship. The people of Buganda Kingdom, provided Manual Labour and the Land on which the airport facilities sit, in Zzilya and Kigungu village, located in Entebbe, Busiro County. Land is can be explained as real property. The historical importance of the Airport Land providers cannot be ignored , because Land is the main factor of production and it is on Buganda Lands that EBB stands today.

Labour was the human input to the development of the original EBB airport infrastructure. Labour included Local native Ganda manual workers and British managers, into the construction and production process of aviation services at EBB. Those who provided the capital including machines, tools and construction of local roads to Entebbe airport, cannot be ignored.

The entrepreneurs, who provided and implemented the initial ideas of obtaining Land from Buganda, to provide aviation services to the people.

Those early entrepreneurs, risked their own real estates and financial resources, in this aviation business venture.

They also organised the other 3 factors of production, i.e, Ganda Lands, Labour and Capital
Land is the economic resource encompassing natural resources found within a nation's economy. Using land for industrial purposes allows nations to improve the production processes for turning natural resources into consumer goods and services
