Dalindyebo's son poised to take reins as Abathembu king

BUMBANE GREAT PLACE, Eastern Cape - Abathembu Prince Avenathi Dalindyebo is poised to take over the Kingship.

That's if his father's constitutional court bid fails.

King Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo has been given 14 days to hand himself over to correctional services.

The Appeals Court in Bloemfontein sentenced him to 12 years for assault, kidnapping, arson and defeating the ends of Justice.

Dalindyebo met with clan leaders to discuss his bid on Sunday, and it was decided his 23-year-old son would take over the throne.

" My son definitely, my son is doing his 3rd year at the University of Free State. I believe he is ready unless he has further intentions in that case it might be one of my wives," Dalindyebo said.
