{UAH} NRM primaries Oct, 2015 vs Presidential Contest in March, 2016

The Katuna Town Council Mayoral aspirant Nelson Nsangabasheija has been admitted at Kabale Regional Referral hospital after he was allegedly assaulted by the Kabale Deputy Resident District Commissioner Denis Nzeirwe.

Nsangabasheija says that RDC Nzeirwe, a brother to his opponent Elvis Byonanebye Nzeirwe hit him with a stick in the chest.

The scuffle according to the Nelson, erupted during yesterday's NRM Mayoral Primaries when Nzeirwe stormed some polling centers, confiscated the ballot boxes and drove them to his home.

Nsangabasheija adds that the RDC also sealed off Kyonyo road with soil piles and blocked police from accessing Kyonyo polling station.

Kenneth Nebye, one of the voters who witnessed the scuffle told Chimpreports that at Kakoma cell, some ballot papers were pre-ticked for Elvis Nzeirwe and that some voters were harassed by the RDC's men at the station.

Our efforts to reach the RDC were still futile as he turned down our multiple calls for comments.

Meanwhile Nsangabasheija was still admitted at Kabale regional referral hospital with chest pain complaints.

By publication on Tuesday morning, the results of the poll were yet to be announced
