{UAH} Police allows FDC to open office in Bugiri but prohibits public rally

Police have heavily deployed in Bugiri district ahead of the planned rally by FDC presidential flag bearer Dr. Kizza Besigye. According to the police, FDC party officials should have first written to them as required by the Public Order Management Act. The area regional police commander told NTV that they would only allow Besigye to open the FDC office but not have any procession on the streets of Bugiri or hold a public rally.
