A former construction worker has pressed assault charges against Julian Fantino dating back to an incident in 1973.

John Bonnici claims he was assaulted, and had ketchup speared on his behind by the then detective.

The Toronto Sun spoke with Fantino's lawyer who calls the allegation "completely without foundation"
