An hour on this bicycle will give your house enough power for 24 hours

Imagine that your daily exercise could also power your home.  This will be a reality for 10,000 families across India when Manoj Bhargava, founder of 5-Hour Energy, releases his stationary bikes in early 2016.  These bicycles, when peddeled for an hour, can power a home, including standard appliances and electronics, for 24 hours.

Bhargava was featured in a recent documentary called "Billions in Change" that highlighted his Invention Shop, the place where new cutting edge technology is created by his company.

Bhargava spent years living as a monk in India after becoming bored with his life as a student at Princeton.  His company has done so well that he is now focusing his billions and swath of creativity into world changing technology.

This bike could definitely make life more easy for the 3 billion people that don't have access to consistent electricity.  Here it is in action
