{UAH} THE NUMBERS THAT CREATED THE LAST CANADIAN ELECTION

Friends

Just to give you a picture of the last election we held on The 19th October 2015, here are some numbers of interest, from the Liberal party perspective. We moved from a  third party to a majority government by getting 184 seats. Of those 184 seats 7 are of Indigenous origin, 50 are women. The Liberal party has a 27% of the caucus which is the largest number in the entire party history. The party used more than 80,000 volunteers nationwide, and between all of them thy made nearly 12,000,000 door knocks and phone  calls. This is another number of interest, when you look closely at the gaps of the constituencies we won into, 32 ridings were won by 5%  or less, when you look at the constituencies we lost 29 ridings were lost by 5% or less. And that is a number that must be of concern as we move forward. And lastly this was the longest and most expensive campaign we have ever held, it lasted 78 days at a total cost of about 40 million dollars. The fund raising is still in the upswing for much of that money has to be paid.

The Prime Minister designate is being sworn into power on November the 4th and the cabinet will immediately be named, then the hard part starts on the same date.
