Be informed that The Federal Transportation Minister Marc Garneau has just tweeted that the Federal government has no intention of reopening the tripartite agreement that would allow for passenger jets at Billy Bishop Airport.  Porter Airlines had wanted to extend the runway 200 meters on each end to accommodate the jets and increase destination options.

So with that single tweet, the expansion of the airport noise has come to an immediate end.
