{UAH} The Auditor general has found out that the construction cost for Entebbe Express highway was grossly inflated.

Going by what was happening in KCC , UNRA was not manned by government supporters. Let us isolate this case from government. For some people this is normal Uganda business practice such that things of this nature, where an engineer, land valuers, a person in land registry either at the district or land registry, land owner and property dealers sometimes a non-existing one collaborates to steal from the state. 

KCC workers sold all wetlands and were never prosecuted!

 

But whence start all this wave of stealing – it is the so called property agents in land transaction! This is similarly what has been going on in Mubende- Kiboga- Kyankwanzi, Bugerere and happened in Buruli region. Who created the land titles in those areas and who originally owned the land? Isn't this what is happening in Bunyoro now?

 

When all is said and done, you will find that your own friend or relative who you did not know how he or she was making his/her money by having  a posh ride around Kampala slums is actually behind this mess.

 

What amazes me, is how land police intelligence, military and even the financial inspection whatever fails to know that money is being stolen when a brick layer one day turns out to be a very rich man. Rampant Land transaction is the driver around these acts of fleecing the state and if a few so called property and land purchaser and sellers alike were tracked you will find a lot about what is wrong with UNRA.

what I can now say is that since the investigation started - many many people have lost millions and millions of shillings they had invested in stealing tax payers money - the question is how mcuh did the government know about it and why have they delayed to stop the rot?
