{UAH} Presidential Debate

It was unfortunate that president Museveni dodged the debate because he would have had the opportunity to tell the nation about his accomplishments for the last thirty years and what pressing tasks he intended to do during the next five years that he was unable to do during his long stay in power.
All the same, his absence did not dampen the expectations of those who witnessed the debate. All the participants put in their best giving us an insight into the type of Uganda each wanted to see.
The debate could have been much more enlightening if each presidential candidate had had more time than the 2 minutes allotted, and if the participants were not so many. In addition, the moderators, especially Allan Kasujja, did not seem to understand what the audience really wanted to hear. He kept cutting off the candidates while they were in the middle of explaining something important and at times kept asking irrelevant questions.
I suggest that in the second debate they should have a different set of moderators and Besigye and Mbabazi should be asked more questions that the other participants who, in any case, are more or less passengers on the train.
