{UAH} Inter Swicth System

Dr. Kayondo

Curiosity is the mother of inventions.

Class Sociology: Have you studied people who are demonstrating – these are street vendors, excited boda boda, unemployed youth (some school dropouts) etc. In fact majority people that have been apprehended are from the slums of Kawempe, Makindye, Natete etc.

Ugandans with smart phones and computers are nowhere on streets! They are in homes, cafes communicating! That is why all twitter and facebooks are very busy - so what has been blocked?

I am a programmer and by passing blocked protocals started with European copyright laws curtailing the youth from downloading music online. Can really stop penniless youth from listening to music - and how do you do that?

Since then things have gone heywire -UCC would have known this. No they do not!!

I have been overwhelmed by the way internet has evolved. This development is basically as a result of curiosity to overcome bad laws. In criminal sociology the worst you can do is to ask criminals to go undercover.

If the state is serious, they will be monitoring communication which is not very difficult. Ssalongo Senoga if I remember very well taught himself hacking. So if he could, why not others? And I think he is talking from that experience.

Bye the way many many more Uganda youth have become curious and improvising means of beating the blockade and that is how Europe and USA has made the worst hackers by limiting their freedoms.

and from now on - uganda ICT world has changed.

Sociologically there is nothing better in human history than beating the law particularly were ones freedom are curtailed! I learnt that from watching my own sons and society in Europe.

Now, what is the country loosing and how do you solve the frustration among people who believe in you but fall victim of such acts?!

Ill advising the government is terrible thing!

Will  any European or American business ever think of locating their out sourcing resources in this country ever - we have lost that opportunity for good - Uganda in one sentence is a risk country.

Ill advised.
Think of these Makerere ICT youth with their applications on given websited they are selling for dollar and these websites are located in Uganda!
Wasted investment.

It is terrible as government blocks social media they also block inter switch system which basically use telecom network to transact their business.

For good or worse this act is completely going to change not only the banking system but the airline and tourism sectors that have lost lot of revenue.  There must be tourists stranded in their hotels without money or passengers who have to incur cost because of the government acts.

Barclays was not working the only bank connected to Eurepe and the USA.

Since yesterday was a working day around the world certainly there was business transaction going on through automated systems. All this business is lost.

I am yet to find out if URA system was on or off . Goods had to move accross boarders despite that Uganda was in elections.

Moreover - those companies and corporate bodies that have their business transaction based on the internet will have to think twice investing in or having their business office located in Uganda.

Politics is destroying the least progress that has been made!
