{UAH} President Museveni did not answer the question on foreign missions well

When asked about the dire straits reportedly afflicting foreign missions, President Museveni said gov't had not funded foreign missions because the money was going to roads, electricity, etc.

But the truth is that all embassies, high commissions and consulates receive an allocation in each budget and they also collect standard fees.

And if there are overriding complaints and interests, certainly the President, line Ministry (Foreign Affairs) and Parliament would be aware and dully consider affirmative action.

It's not true, therefore, that the situation is that bad but improvements must be done to empower Uganda's foreign interests and project a good image. It also has to do with what the observer's interest in this matter is. If they are on a mission to find fault, they would certainly find it anywhere.
