{UAH} Boycott of musicians shows a big failure of imagination - Bernard Tabaire

It can be frustrating going up against an entrenched politico-security system such as exists in Uganda today.

State apparatchiks today hound the business and professional interests of their ardent critics, especially those that were part of the ruling system and then left in a loud and pronounced way. This is one form of criminalising dissent, making the holding of contrary political views a very costly affair.

FDC officials may be unaware, but their actions amount to the same thing. Surely, FDC does not want Ugandans to assume that if it came to power, it would do what the present government is doing to opponents, real and perceived.
