{UAH} Boycotters and Enablers Do Co-exist

I don't know which part of my emails indicate to you that I am speaking on behalf of FDC. I am speaking in my individual capacity as a Ugandan.  FDC is reacting to the elections.  I am reacting to the general state of affairs Uganda...Those that want to boycott enablers don't need permission from anyone to do so.  A boycott is a safe way to show our displeasure without the police coming to beat us up. The police can forcefully breakup peaceful demonstrations but the police cannot force anyone to buy a service or product.  Therefore, those that disagree with the current state of affairs in Uganda can use this powerful and effective tool to show their displeasure.
Of course, this doesn't mean everyone will approve/join the boycott (e.g Sam Musoke?).  Those who are happy with the state of Uganda will oppose the boycott, or even condemn it.  That is okay too.  e.g I have a friend that sent me pictures of the police beating up innocent people on the streets and he found some humor/justification in the violence...he said "the police has attacked the FDC thugs and chased them out of their head office in Najjanankumbi". Another friend sent me the same pictures but expressing disappointment about them...he said "the police has attacked FDC workers in their offices and destroyed they property".  To me, both views are okay...there is always going to be someone that likes/enjoys/encourages/justifies the police to beat/kill people...and there will always be people that abhor/reject/condemn such actions.
That is why I am okay with the existance of both the enablers and the boycotters.  Both are within their rights to act the way they do.  This is probably my last exchange with you on this matter.
thanks

All those boycott examples you have provided are in one way or another been sanctioned by countries that have determined that there has been gross violations of principles that are so endeared by the boycotting countries. They just don't do such stuff willy-nilly. For FDC to seek a boycott against citizens who practiced their rights to support a candidate of their choice, is a resurrection of old practice of "kwookya bitooke" by natives who used to retaliate by cutting down matooke plantations of those they politically disagreed with. Can you imagine the Republican Party planning  a boycott of Beyonce because she supports Black Panther party and Black Lives Matter? No sir.  FDC stooped too low. That should have been left to individual citizen.
