{UAH} EXTRAJUDICIAL KILLINGS IN KASESE
EXTRAJUDICIAL KILLINGS IN KASESE.; WE MUST SPEAK OUT!
===================
These killings in my home district have gone on for far too long. We need to know who is behind these brutal murders in Kasese and I am here to expose them.
At first, we were told that they are a result of some criminal elements- robberies gone wrong. Later, the narrative changed. We were told they are a result of Mukula's ADF activities.
We started waking up to the horrors of dead bodies in the neighbourhoods. People would wake up and see a dead body dumbed near their compound or in a road junction or in some nearby bushes. In all these cases, the dead bodies are of people unknown in the area.
Now, we have the authorities (the police, the UPDF, the security services) openly killing people in Kasese district in broad-day light. The government has graduated from killing our people at night to killing them in broad-day light with no shame or fear for their actions.
The last such target killings (extrajudicial) took place under Idi Amin's regime in certain parts of Uganda.
It must be noted, similar killings took place between 1981-85 but these were carried out by the bandits at the time. Many innocent people were gunned down by the bandits. These bandits were working on behalf of Yoweri Museveni. When he tookover power, mass killings continued taking place in Eastern and Northern Uganda on a large scale.
You all remember the confession by Gen Kahinda Otafiire at the burial of the late Adonia Tiberondwa. Kahinda Otafiire told the mourners that the NRA bandits killed many innocent lives as they tried to tarnish the image of men like Adonia Tiberondwa. They would go to villages in Luwero to recruit and openly ask for the masses to join them. The masses would object. The bandits would then warm that the government will kill them and that the rebels could not offer them any protection. They would then head back to their bases, now dress in UPC T-shirts and head back to the very village where they were before. They would then kill innocent people, destroy property and terrorise the village. They would then disappear back to their bases, take off the UPC T-shirts and put on their rebel outfits. They would then return to the attacked villages to show fake empathy and sympathy to the survivors. They would say, you see; we warned you but you didn't listen. This time, they would return with all the survivors in those villages and it would be mission accomplished! It was a recruitment ploy user by the NRA rebels.
A similar story was given by Pecos Kutesa in his Desert island disc's programme. Pecos was a UNLA officer but was collaborating with the NRA bandits. He says his Roadblock was the worst as they routinely beat up the traveling public, robbed them, terrorised them, raped some, killed some...all intended to give Obote's government a bad image in the public. When he was called to report at the army headquarters, Republic House, to give an explanation for the extrajudicial activities that was taking under his command, he realised that his days are numbered in the UNLA. He instead ran to his real bosses in the bush (Yoweri Museveni). More information about this is also contained in his book.
Matayo Kyaligonza, another former bandit also confesses that his gang made Kampala very unsafe and they went around killing innocent people. His group killed men like Hon Bamuturaki and Hon. Prof Muhangi.
The current trend of cold blood murders taking place in Kasese is intended to create panic and insecurity within the minds and hearts of the wanaichi. The narrative has changed. Kayihura blames Charles Mumbere and his Rwenzururu administration. Museveni is pointing a finger at Obusinga bwa Rwenzururu. I am not a supporter of Kingdoms in Uganda but I will not blame Charles Mumbere for these spate of killings in Kasese district.
These killings are state orchestrated and carried out by men in uniform. This is Museveni's response to being rejected by the people of Kasese in the last elections. That is Museveni's modus operandi. We know his game and we must collectively speak out. Mr Museveni, you can come and pick me and kill me. I will die pointing a finger at nobody other that Museveni, Kayihura and their men for the killings in my home district. They have turned political differences into enmity. They are setting up people against one another. They are killing people based on wrong intelligence. They are labelling anyone who opposes them an enemy within (Kipinga) who must be liquidated. That is how Museveni want to attract support away from Charles Mumbere, Obusinga and from FDC.
What a shame!
Thank you

PS. While you are all digesting every word /every sentence used in the above post, I want you to take a step back and review the attached article.
You will see how our problem (in Kasese) has been building up to where we are today. The district is awash with official guns.
We recently had Museveni warning Ugandans to vote wisely otherwise, you would get insecurity if you don't vote for the right candidate (him).
