Former spymaster Gen David Sejusa on Thursday threw a banquet at his country home in Nkoma village, Ssembabule District to celebrate his release from Prison.
At the start of the month, Sejusa was released on bail by the Kampala High Court having spent weeks on remand in Luzira Prison.
Sejusa is facing cases related to insubordination and absenting himself from duty, before the General Court Martial. The hearing of the case at the army court was momentarily halted by the High Court before he was granted bail.
Yesterday, the former head of national intelligence hosted his family and locals of Nkoma to celebrate his freedom.
Amongst his guests was Forum for Democratic Change former Presidential candidate Col Dr Kizza Besigye and Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago as well as several other opposition politicians from Kampala.
According to Lukwago, the General made stunning revelations at the party on how he has survived being murdered since he parted ways with government in 2013.
He reportedly told his guests that the NRM government functionaries plotted to eliminate him when he was exiled in UK. Most recently while on remand in Luzira, Sejusa said he narrowly survived being poisoned.
Upon release from Jail on April 1st, Sejusa told reporters that he only survived in jail by the grace of God.
According to the Lord Mayor however, the General is still "committed toward the struggle for restoration of democratic governance and rule of law in our country."
