{UAH} OUR SLEEPING MPS!

Brothers and sisters, we should all talk the committee on Public
Service and Local Governments of the outgoing 9th Parliament which has
declined to support funding of the new town councils citing
unfairness.
According to the committee, even there was no fairness in a list of
town councils being groomed to become municipalities. While some like
Kyotera were were seen, none from Wakiso like Wakiso itself, Nsangi
and Katabi yet, these would have been municipalities now, hadn't the
outgoing Minister of Local Government Adolf Mwesige left them out.
l was surprised however, when our MPs representing those areas,
notably Busiro East and Busiro North keeping quiet.
Even those from Kampala-Masaka-Mbarara High Way or
Kampala-Mubende-Fort Portral Highway should have advocated for towns
like Mbiriizi , Kinoni, Kayabwe, Buwama, Zigoti to become town
councils, but they are minding income tax exemptions and cars but not
feelings of their voters.
One of my outgoing MPs, Haji Issa Kikungwe, should be at the forefront
to ensure that Makindye Ssaabagabo Municipality gets at least six
municipal divisions other than the three we have, but l don't hear
much from him yet l have less confidence in the incoming Sempala
Kigozi. Gavumenti etuyambe!
