{UAH} SOUTH SUDAN: AFRICA'S TOUGHEST PEACE TO KEEP.

Nobody underestimates the important milestone that was achieved yesterday when President Salva Kiir and now First Vice President Dr. Riek Machar stood together with their right hands on their hearts as the South Sudan national anthem was played for them in the capital Juba.
It is imperative that the youngest country in the world and latest entrant into the East African Community be supported now more than ever, particularly by the international community, African Union, COMESA and IGAD so as to solidify the peace that has been so fragile since the signing of the 2005 Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) by the late Dr. John Garang
It is also now upon the people of South Sudan to prioritize de-escalation, disarmament, normalization, and nation-building. Aren't these the essentials that will enable them to focus on their economic development, their young democracy, and the rule of law?
Tribalism shouldn't be allowed to become the excuse for escaping the clampdown on corruption. And fighting corruption shouldn't be an excuse for nepotism.
However at this juncture, I would just like to wish them well.
