{UAH} Why Gen Saleh is headed for Kampala Minister
Why Gen Saleh is headed for Kampala Minister
By Lawrence Kazooba
Today, Red Pepper newspaper was on point when it named Gen Salim Saleh as one of the ministers on the president's new term cabinet list.
Watchdog has been told by a reliable source that actually Saleh started working as Kampala minister in February immediately after elections.
Kampala fell in the hands of the opposition, and NRM leaders were kicked out in this year's general elections.
That was attributed to the manner in which Jennifer Musisi handled her programs in the city. Kampala minister Frank Tumwebaze, was too busy with presidency work, which made it difficult to effectively supervise Musisi's work in a politically sensitive manner.
Realizing that, President Museveni tasked Saleh to take over the city's security, and through his networks, he has succeeded in neutralizing the opposition.
He has made over 1000 meetings, ever since and that is why Kampala has a semblance of peace.
And the president is happy with Saleh's execution of his duty.
