{UAH} GREATER KAMPALA NEEDS A BAIL OUT IN TERMS OF POLITICAL REPRESENTATION

Brothers and sisters, how do you feel when you hear that Kalangala
District with a population of 53,406 IS REPRESENTED BY TWO DIRECTLY
ELECTED MEMBERS AND ONE DISTRICT WOMAN MP AND WAKISO WITH OVER TWO
MILLION PEOPLE AGAIN WITH ONE WOMAN MP, AND KAMPALA, WHERE CITY
DIVISIONS ARE EQUIVALENT TO A DISTRICT, BUT THE WHO OF KAMPALA OF
OVER 1.5 MILLION PEOPLE, BY ONE WOMAN MP?
BUSIRO EAST HAS 462,635 PEOPLE STRONG, KYADDONDO EAST 460,161,
KYADDONDO NORTH 368,694, KYADDONDO SOUTH 284,067, BUSIRO SOUTH
227,849.
None of those deserves to have only one MP.
We know incumbent MPs that are fighting this. One is vehemently
opposed to Nansana-Nabweru Municipality, another former MP is
vehemently opposed to Kira Municipality, then there is one fighting
Kyaddondo District, then those at the district who don't want
municipalities and town councils at all, but collectively, insha
Allah, we shall defeat them.
Greater Kampala including Kampala, Wakiso, Mpigi, Mukono and Luwero,
can not be under represented, unless you want sham democracy.
NOW
Kira, Nansana and Makindye Ssaabagabo are municipalities but with only
one MP that is cheating of the highest order.
Nangabo is now Kasangati Town Council, which should have been a
municipality, Nsangi which is over 180,000 in terms of population, is
now Kyengera Town Council! Cheating. Katabi is a town council and Sisa
is now Kajjansi town council. They should have been combined to have
Katabi Municipality!
We have not talked about Kampala where Kasubi Parish itself deserves
to be a constituency on its own
