{UAH} Uganda Economy: not in trouble but adjusting to main stream
If companies are collapsing – let their debt be turned into public equity and the people of Uganda take over those firms/companies to reclaim what is theirs.
The media and independent observers claim that Uganda economy is in trouble. I say NO! It is not in trouble because it is actually moving from a troubled state driven by extortionist and broad day robbers to a main stream lawful economy.

Basically, Uganda has no economy to talk about. examine the follwoing sectors;
Construction sector: How many kilometers of roads, square meters of building floor, Bridges, Industrial Estates, Airports, National Stadia , Universities have been created in the past 30 years?
Research, Development and Innovation: How much research is government funding and products developed thereof?
Textiles & fashion industry: How many textile industries besides massive import of mivumba are there?
ICT, Technology and Communication: How many people have a fixed line besides homes connected directly to communication networks these are thousands of jobs for telecom engineers, ICT soft and hardware developers
Infrastructure: Ugandans 80% of them can't access basic infrastructure like public utilities (water, electricity, paved roads, housing, public transport and communication)
Agro-produce: How much agricultural products besides those sold in Kenya and South Sudan developed to reach international markets
Transport: Uganda virtually all of them has very painful access to transport system wholly dominated by the extortionists' investments. In one word Uganda has not Transport system on water, air, road or railway). A country can't develop without an efficient transport system!
The above sectors are central to the development of the country and indeed those sectors are pillars on which the economy is founded!
Corruption has been driving this economy that has created a very dangerous culture for all of us humble citizens. From High Court judges to brick layers the country is now griped with extortionists from land to street traders who don't blink a bit to steal what does not belong to them.
Let it collapse that may be will teach the African to think a little bit!
