Jabby,
Below is a Facebook posting by my long term friend Thomas Nkhoma, a
Zambian who was my neighbour in London before he decided to return to
Africa to try his hand at commercial farming. His son has just
graduated from the same University as my own son. The two grew up
together. Just like myself, Mr Thomas Nkhoma is naturally not going to
take your advice to be ashamed or embarrassed by the achievement of
his son. I actually get the feeling he is as proud as punch and wants
to shout about it to the roof tops. And I salute him for good
parenting. He has nothing to be ashamed of, and everything to be proud
of.

My son has just clocked the first day of his twenty-second year! So
proud of a temperamental toddler, who prevaricated between red and
blue moods as an older child then balanced out into a temperate teen
and young, responsible adult. Graduate and employed to boot. God bless
you Francis-Xavier Ngoyi Nkhoma!
