Lately, UAH has resorted to announcing the death of people who are still alive. This was started by Dr. Mike Ogwal and as usual followed by Peter Gwokto announcing the death of  a South African movie star. Now Abbey has followed the fray by asking whether it is true that Mbeki is dead. Why don't you people do some detailed research before shaming yourselves by posting propaganda/nonsense. What is the purpose of your so-called education that you boast about 24/7? If you have nothing constructive to talk about why don't you simply shut the hell up? Recently you spend tons of hours discussing the success of a Somali politician in the USA. What is so surprising by a Somalian American becoming a politician? Is it because Peter Gwokto took it upon himself to announce to the world that Somalis live in bedbug infested communities?

 

The very people you describe as useless are doing far better than you so-called smart asses. For example in Canada's last year's federal election Ahmed Hussein defeated NDP MP Mike Sullivan-York South-Western riding (Toronto) and becoming Canada's first-ever MP of Somali descent. When we talk of organized communities of people of African origin in Canada and the United States, Somalis actually do far better than our fragmented community that spend 24/7 talking about irrelevant issues. Take for example in Minnesota Somalis have many community enterprises. In 2006 they  accounted for 164-394 million in purchasing power and accounted for 600 businesses.  In Canada Somali Canadian Association of Etobicoke  (Toronto) provides to government and social organizations information on Somali cultural and traditional values so that the service delivery is sensitive to the needs of Somali clients. What do you have as Ugandans?

 

 

When it comes to Somali women both in Canada and the USA, they have excelled in the fashion and modelling world. Waris Dirie is a model, author, actress and human rights activist, Hawa Ahmed is fashion model, Jawahir Ahmed is an American model who is signed to the Star Talent Group modeling agency, Ubah Hassan is a Somali-Canadian model to mention only a few. Instead of learning from others successes so that you can use the same road they traveled,  you to succeed too you spend an entire week talking negatively about them and trying as hard as you can do to bring them  down. This is the very reason you have failed in organizing and putting together a functional and effective Ugandan community outside the Ugandan border. Gwokto who has the loudest negative mouth has announced so many bogus activities on this forum. Where are they? Leave the Somalis do their own things. There is nothing you can contribute to them. They know what they are doing. It is best we spend our time on this forum that offers no solutions instead of negatively talking negatively who are 100 miles from us.

 

It reaches a point to wonder why one was born a Ugandan.
