{UAH} WHY ENTEBBE CITY?

ENTEBBE CITY
Uganda's political capital, throughout the 70 year colonial period
was Entebbe. It consisted a government house now State House, an
International Airport, a Grade A and a Grade B Hospitals, among
others.
Even after independence, Entebbe shared with Kampala some of the
ministry headquarters, like Works and Housing, Agriculture, Games and
Fisheries etc….
Since Lugard's force at Kampala Hill in December 1890, Kampala
remained a commercial capital until after independence .
The struggle now is to have other cities including Entebbe, which is
over 500,000 in terms of population size, if you take the entire
Entebbe High Way covering Makindye Ssaabagabo Municipality, Kajjansi
Town Council, Katabi Town Council, and Entebbe Municipality itself.
WAKISO CITY
This will cover Wakiso Town Council, Wakiso Sub County, Mende Sub
County, Kyengera Town Council and the rest of Busiro East which is
over 500,000.
NANSANA CITY
This will cover Nansana Municipality, Kakiri Town Council, Kakiri Sub
County, Namayumba Sub County, Masuuliita Sub County, which is over
500,000.
KIRA CITY
This will cover Kira Municipality and Nangabo Town Council, which is
over 500,000.
These are different from our future national political capital
Nakasongola which town council is 10,000 strong in terms of
population, Moroto which is a municipality since independence but only
15,000 or even Fort Portral, the colonial western regional capital,
which is 50,000.
