{UAH} KWESIGA/NEKYON: "Defending" NRM's Role in UNAA

Mr Kwesiga,

I notice that you have caught Mr Nekyon's disease of jumping the gun...in my language, we say that "nsumulula gw'Osuna... Ebiyiika by'Oyagala? "...loosely translated "I am opening a packet  of goodies, but you are pocking holes in the sides of the packet, do you want me to put the contents on a nice plate for you or you prefer contents pouring our all over the place?

 The moral of that saying is that be patient.  Let me present my views and then respond to what I have written.  As I told Mr Nekyom, it is better to defend the NRM's role after you have seen my views on that matter.  Preemptive defenses based on conjecture are not useful.

You and Mr Nekyon are responding to things that I have NOT said:

1. You mention Byanyima speaking in Dallas 2013 but you forget to add that she was invited at the last minute when I strenuously objected to the invitation you had given to the NRM's Byaruhanga (I objected to giving her that slot too and recommended several non-political speakers). 

2. You mention Mbabazi in 2014 but you forget that he was still in the NRM government at that time...he was kicked out a few weeks after his UNAA speech. 

3. You mention Besigye but you forget that he spoke in the political forum and in a private FDC meeting...but you forgot to mention that I have always said that political talk should be confined to the Political Forum and to each party's private meetings. 

4. Mr Nekyon mentioned that NRM is not unduly influencing UNAA because opposition folks shouted at the NRM speakers!  Really?  People in Kla shout at NRM speakers.  Does that mean the NRM is NOT controlling Uganda??? Really????

The few opposition MPs shout at NRM Mps in parliament...does that mean the NRM is NOT dominating the parliament?
