Here are more accolades for my town Hemel Hempstead. So when I told you Hemel Hempstead is a paradise on earth, I was not exaggerating. Even the citizens of the UK believe so, and some places in the UK are a real hell on earth- ask Frank Mujabi and others. In Hemel Hempstead, we are surrounded by peace and have everything we need. We don't have social or community conflict that you see in large cities like London, and we dont' have any religious problems since there is no mosque in the area, so religion or faith is a strictly private affair for individuals. The only drawback is that you have to be fairly affluent to live in the area.

Hemel Hempstead has been awarded the title of the happiest place to live in the south east of England, according to a new survey.

Rightmove's 'Happy At Home' index looked at 12 different factors including area upkeep, safety and resident's pride in the area.

Hemel also took the honour of coming in eighth place for the happiest towns in the UK overall, and it was ranked first for residents' contentment with where they live.

Andrew Williams, leader of Dacorum Borough Council, said the survey results were 'fantastic news'.

He said: "We know that Hemel, and indeed the whole of Dacorum, is a great place to live, work and enjoy so it's great that this survey has highlighted how happy our residents are.

"This year alone we've made massive strides in our £30 million regeneration of Hemel Hempstead Town Centre, we have completed building our first new council homes in over 25 years and were involved in the redevelopment of Jarman Fields, a major leisure complex which is home to Hertfordshire's only ice rink.

"There is still much to look forward to as plans have been submitted to build a new college campus that will provide innovative educational courses for local young people, The Forum (Dacorum's shared services hub) will open in 2017 and the restoration of the Water Gardens will be completed next year."
