{UAH} Kampala and Munini Mulera

WB

The issue is too much politics in Uganda.

How many planners does Kigali has, just a handfull. They are doing far much better because they follow urban laws, rules and regulations.

Betty Kamya has been telling vendors off the street, Lukwago and his group telling them to stay put! And let us wait till another election period and shift all that can be done now to another period!

Certianly we do not have enough planners and urban engineers but KCCA is far more organised and can deliver if left to do their work.

The beautiful city on seven planned hills that welcomed me in 1966 now covers dozens of unplanned hills, valleys and wetlands that have been converted into a concrete jungle that I find rather unbearable. For practical purposes, Kampala stretches from Nansana in the north, to Kyengera in the west, to Kajjansi in the south and Seeta in the east.
