{UAH} Gook: Can you imagine? New Deputy CDF Mbadi, Journalists to Defend Mumbere in Court

The newly appointed Deputy Chief of the Defense Forces in the UPDF, Maj.Gen Wilson Mbaddi will be among the key witnesses to defend the Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere in the charges he is facing, Chimp Corps report.
This was revealed on Thursday by the defense lawyers as the Jinja Chief Magistrate Francis Kaggwa committed Mumbere and 2 of his royal guards to the International Crimes Division in Kampala for trial of the case to kick off.
Presenting to court after the committal, Caleb Alaka told the Chief Magistrate that they had lined up soldiers and journalists to defend Mumbere.
"Among the witnesses we have include Maj.Gen . Wilson Mbaddi, UPDF soldiers who were recently attached as guards to Omusinga and 3 journalists, " Alaka told court on Thursday afternoon adding that some RDCs will also testify for Mumbere.
Speaking to Chimpreports separately after the court session, one of Mumbere's lawyers, Samuel Muyizzi said they feel ready to defend themselves in the International Crimes Division in Kampala .
"We believe the king is ready to defend himself because he thinks he has all it takes to do so,"Muyizzi said.
More Charged
Meanwhile, 6 more people including the Obusinga bwa Rwenzururu Prime Minister Yowana Tembo and other royal guards were charged on Thursday with various offences in regards to the November violence in the Rwenzori region.
According to Muyizzi more suspects who are now undergoing treatment at Bombo military hospital would be charged later.
"We asked court to discharge them if they cannot be produced to court." Mumbere is charged with murder,treason, terrorism, aggravated robbery and attempted murder for offences allegedly committed in March this year that led to death of a number of policemen in Kasese district.
